Legal Aid BC (LABC) is a provincial Crown Corporation established by the Legal services Society (LSS) Act in 1979 to provide legal information, advice, and representation services. Our priority is to serve the interests of people experiencing barriers accessing the legal system. Funded by the provincial government, with additional support from the Law Foundation of BC and the Notary Foundation of BC, Legal Aid BC operates with full accountability to the public.
Reporting to the Vice President, Legal Strategy, the Director of Strategy and Innovation will imagine what could be and design tomorrow. The role is primarily responsible for the development of long-term organizational strategies and the innovation of Legal Aid BC’s service delivery. The Director is a future-oriented thinker, who sees opportunity and embraces a 'test & try' mindset to adopt cutting-edge approaches to the delivery of legal aid services. The Director drives business transformation by enabling responsible and impactful adoption of data, analytics, and AI with strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
